Trend Alert: Nautical Stripes No celebrity endorsement implied.

There comes a time in every trend's life when it's no longer a trend and thus forth a fashion staple. Nautical stripes reached that point hella long ago. When Coco Chanel first experimented with them they may have been seen as a flighting thing. But who doesn't want to channel feelings of the beach, the ocean, the waves? Looks like Vanessa Minnillo (in Sonia by Sonia Rykiel) and Coco have something in common — oh, and the rest of us lovers of fashion!

Nautical-stripes are definitely a classic...I don't think of this look as a "trend" at all.

I love almost all of these finds, but Vanessa's top and the Tory Burch tote bag are my faves.

I second, third and fourth the motion that nautical stripes are classic, not trendy. Of course, there is always the surge during spring. So I guess it's a classic trend.
