I'm a TOTAL procrastinator!!! Lucky, I didn't have to pay taxes back in the non-online era...I'd lose my marbles, LOL.

    tiabia on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 7:25am

well i just filed my 2006 taxes about 2 weeks ago so im definitely in the worst procrastinator category.
for 2007, im in canada so i still have another 2 weeks before the deadline. the papers are all done, i just had a problem with my RRSP tax slip (was missing $4,000!!!!) so im waiting to get the updated papers in the mail then i just have to update my return stuff and send it out.
im turning over a new leaf for 2008 though, no more procrastinating, its just so damn stressfull!!

    SkinnyMarie on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 7:39am

I actually did it at the very beginning of April. TurboTax. Made it fast and easy.

    LaLaLaurie06 on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 7:50am

    Shopaholichunny on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:03am

We did ours as soon as we recieved both of our W-2's. This was the first year that I did them by myself. Gotta love e-file. I did however make a mistake so I had to amend the state taxes, still waiting for that return to come in.....

    mbrown81 on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:04am

I like to get it done as soon as I get my forms. Of course, I ended up OWING money thanks to freelance work, but I'm just glad I got it out of the way and taken care of well in advance.

    krampalicious on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:05am

As soon as I got my T4's I filed!

    Lovely_1 on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:05am

I filed as soon as we got our W-2's.

    Liss on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:36am

I filed way back in Feb! All done, just chilling until I get my stimulus check.

    RosaDilia on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 8:43am

I did mine about 3 weeks ago - I couldn't get my husband to sit down with me and do them.

    karisaamy on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:10am

I filed mine a few weeks ago, but the line at the post office yesterday was wild!

    Angelica on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:13am

My step-mom and I alway file ours as soon as we get the forms in the mail ... we make a little party out of it!

    fashionhore on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:36am

aw fashionhore thats a cute way to get them done and still have some fun.

uhm, my taxes were done months ago because my dad still does them for me. He is an accountant and he once told me he will do my taxes as long as I want him to. Good thing, cause I am clueless when it comes to that kind of stuff. Smiling

    MeggyPoodles on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:41am

I filed in Feb. I never wait to long b/c it's on my nagging me as something to do on my list. I like crossing things off.

    bellaressa on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 10:04am

did mine the first weekend in feb right after i got my w2's, i want my money! Smiling

    jenehfur on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 10:07am

i filed at the very end of february... once my former employer FINALLY sent my W-2. ruh-roh!

    carhornsinapril on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 10:58am

I did my taxes online at the beginning of March but didn't e-file them til the beginning of April because I wanted to make sure I didn't get any more statements (the mutual fund guys are soooo slow) and b/c I had to pay a pretty hefty amount so wanted to wait til I saved up a bit.

    ehadams on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 11:14am

I filed back in February or March, but didn't actually pay until this past weekend. Oh, it hurt my bank account big time.

    freegracefrom on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 11:21am

I e-filed on April 14th. I don't know why I waited so long, they only took me about an hour on turbotax.com and we're getting a nice chunk of change back (which we expected, so again, don't know why I waited to long!).

    fashionista119 on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 1:01pm

Every year I vow to get them done as soon as I have my W-2 and everything, and every year I still don't manage to get them done until April. This year was no exception! I did them on the 7th and it only took, like, half an hour. I really don't know why I always put it off so long.

    piraterie on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 1:05pm

I put mine in the mail on March 31st. The deadline I put into my brain is to be done by April 1st so I just made it. Smiling

    bluebellknoll on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 2:06pm

My boyfriend did ours as soon as he got the forms. He loves tax season thanks to my charitable heart. Eye-wink

    MandyJoBo on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 4:24pm

yesterday, because we owed a lot and it took some doing to get it together. this was a bad year tax wise. we have already made some changes to prevent this from ever happening again.

    lickety split on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:02pm

April 11... woot woot. Filed through TurboTax. The only reason I waited is because i had to pay but I didn't.

    MissMarisol on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 9:50pm

I completed my taxes about a month ago because I had to send in my tax return for law school stuff, but I didn't end up filing the return until last week.

    shanimalcracker on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 10:33pm

Months ago, as soon as I got my W-2's from work. Smiling Would've given them to my bf to do, since he used to work for the IRA, but eh, I'm a big girl, I can do them myself Smiling

    em1282 on Thu, 04/17/2008 - 7:21am

I did mine the day I got my w-2. That was back in February.

    MollyKat25 on Thu, 04/17/2008 - 8:43am

I didn't even get our taxes back from the accountant until april 12! So I was standing in line with everyone else on April 14 to send in the paper work and of course the fat check we owed! grrrr

    hmcmcd on Thu, 04/17/2008 - 10:05am

    a while ago.

    JaimeLeah526 on Sat, 04/19/2008 - 2:14pm

Filed in early February. Uncle Sam took too much of my money and I wanted it back as soon as I could get it.

Judging from the lines at the post office the last couple of days, and stories about friends not being able to attend previous engagements because they had to file taxes, I'd say there's more than a handful of taxpayers who waited until the 11th hour to file their tax return. I wasn't last minute with my return, but I also wasn't an early bird who filed her taxes in January. What about you?
