I'm a daily user of the existing Purity made simple formula and I'll certainly be trying this formula when my current bottle expires.

I love Purity. Your description is so dead on about it Smiling I would recommend it to anyone (and have at work!).

Omg I was just wondering about this product- great timing, thanks for the reviews Bella and fellow sugar members!

I'm wondering how long it lasts compared to the other formula?

    bluesarahlou on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 3:21pm

I won't pay this much money for a cleanser. Creams, lotion and potions, yes. But not cleansers. I really like Philosophy though.

I want to try this. I have the regular version, and I use it occasionally, but I like my cleansers to foam.

I"m not crazy about the scent of the regular Purity, I find it rather strong. I also think I'm a tad sensitive to SLS, so the fact that this doesn't contain it is great news.

I want to, but I have a hard time shelling out that much money for face wash.

    kaitlynhanna on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 4:16pm

Was interested until I read some reviews citing breakouts >

    shinosuke on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 4:51pm

I'm eagerly awaiting my bottle of regular Purity to run out so I can get this -- my one problem with the original was that I couldn't get it to lather.

It's a great cleanser, ideal for just about all skin types. I alternate it with my LUSH sea vegetable in the morning.

Also, if it makes your skin break out initially, sometimes that's not a "bad" thing. I mean, it is, but a lot of times you're breaking out because bad elements are being brought out by the cleanser. Use the product for a week or two, and if it continues, don't use it, but oftentimes it will clear up and be better than before. That's my experience, anyway...and I used to have skin so bad that dermatologists gave up on me!

I want to try this...I try not to use anything with sodium lauryl sulfate anymore.

    emalove on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 8:38pm

I've always been a big fan of foams. They are so much lighter and I've always had a fear of oily products whichyou know you won't get with foams.I hoe sephora has it cause I want to check theis product out asap!

    ilanac13 on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 9:17pm

I currently use a foaming cleanser myself - Body Shop Tea Tree foaming cleanser. I like the texture, and the fact that it seems to last longer than the traditional formula. But I've never tried Purity Made Simple in any formulation...

    bailaoragaditana on Thu, 08/07/2008 - 9:27pm

I'm so glad that this new formula DOESN'T contain sodium lauryl sulfate! I'm currently using this and I gotta say that it is a pretty decent cleanser. I don't know if its worth the price but it does clean my skin nicely and it contains a light smell that I like.

    MzShanon on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 2:11am

Got a deluxe sample of this coming from Sephora any day now.

    MeowAlyCat on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 4:18am

wow then i'll wait to try that sample first. I dont want to spend the money if its not even worth it.

    Catryse on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 4:30am

I cannot wait to try this!! I am a devoted Philosophy girl and I love the original Purity but I'm more partial to foamy face washes...

    MissTiffany on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 9:02am

I'd have to give it a try first but it sound great.

    JaimeLeah526 on Fri, 08/08/2008 - 4:49pm

Thanks for the reviews. I have been contemplating getting this cleanser for awhile. My face has suddenly gotten out of control with acne.

I wonder if the rise in coffee shops that serve frothy-topped cappuccinos and lattes is what's causing this sudden boom in cleansing foams. OK, it's a stretch, but Philosophy has just come out with a new version of its best-selling face wash called Purity Made Simple High-Foaming Daily Cleanser ($21.50 - $34.50).

This light and thin (it's almost watery-looking) liquid cleanser comes out of the pump in a surprisingly lush and sudsy consistency. It has a fresh and slightly floral scent and contains tocotrienol, a more powerful version of vitamin E, for soothing purposes. What it doesn't contain anymore is sodium lauryl sulfate — hooray!

My favorite part is that it's strong-acting, but you don't have that awful, tight feeling on your skin after you wash it off. Instead, your face is clean, soothed, and soft. Also, it's suitable for all skin types. I have sensitive skin and it didn't cause any irritations for me. Do you think you'd be into checking out this new self-foaming cleanser?
