No way in hell will I ever give that untalented slut my money!!!

fashion4ward on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:01am

Her collection is boring and overpriced!!

RosaDilia on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:19am

her clothing is so not imaginative its just plain old jersey. i don't get it

scissorz on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:20am

Fashion! Geeze girl. Eye-wink
Her clothes are over-priced.

Shopaholichunny on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:20am

her clothes are cute, but as everyone has pointed out, they are way overpriced. they just remind me of American Apparel, but more expensive than even their clothes.

Sarah Wilkinson on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:29am

No, and I won't be buying anything in the future either.

glam sugar on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:37am

Design what? These plain looking styles were fashion when I was a kid and you can just buy the same thing for a fraction of what she's charging, from Target. I really don't get it

Bearsy123 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:44am

I just don't understand. WHY?! She is NOT a fashion designer.

hkl007 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:54am

No way jose! Yes some things are cute but are way too over price, and is nothing special, if I'm going to spend that kind of money in a dress is going to be on a REAL DESIGNER

totygoliguez on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 5:58am

Not in a million years, would i EVER support this untalented gas bag and her boring line.

CaterpillarGirl on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:22am

Like all the other posters have said, it's just boring jersey material. If I'm interested in buying a generic everyday dress I would just go to Forever 21 and spend a whole lot less.

soulight on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:23am

LOL!

Imagine!?!?

Ah, that was rich.

j2e1n9 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:24am

It's too overpriced and it's BORING. I'd rather spend that much money on something a little less... blah.

summerteeth on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:25am

ps: I like how short and dumpy and gremlin-faced she looks in that picture next to all of those models.

j2e1n9 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:26am

Too expensive for me!

Emescloset on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:41am

Her clothes are cute but way overpriced for what they are. I've seen her line on sale deeply discounted everywhere so I wonder how well it's doing.

Renee3327 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:44am

Ha, NO.

RoyalBlueMoss on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:49am

Yea, no I am not interested!

Lovely_1 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 6:58am

i mean what design goes into them? i could do the same if i had someone to sew for me. and i'f i'm buying jersey or cotton plain stuff i buy tart for rachel pally- i'm not giving her my money!

megln1022 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 7:17am

I'm interested in hearing from the 6 (so far) people who have said yes.

bigestivediscuit on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 7:41am

i do like the one shoulder dress, i'm not going to lie. but will i buy it, probably not, its just way to expensive for what it is. if the price was lower, maybe.

lil_bit_edgy on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 7:47am

Although I think some of the items are really cute and wearble, I also think a lot of her items are grossly overpriced. I cant pay 176 + dollars for a cute one shoulder tunic!

bastylefilegirl on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 8:08am

1. Her "clothing line" is a total joke. Mediocre and ugly. 2. Wouldn't want to add to her growing wealth/fame (for being NOTHING.) People who do only add to the idiocy. SO, that's why LC, Heidi and Audrina are "famous." Personally I think people like this shouldn't be allowed to breathe the same air as me.

kallek1116 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 8:23am

She's not a slut, and I don't see how that has anything to do with her line. But, I do agree, it's extremely overpriced for what it is... Forever 21 probably has some pretty decent knock-offs.

Neekoh on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 8:43am

I bought two pairs of leggings on clearance from her Web site, and they are the best leggings I've found. American Apparel's are always too long for me (I'm 5'5"). I'm a leggings fiend (sorry, fab!), but I live in upstate New York and like to wear my summer dresses more than two months a year. Even on clearance, everything else seems overpriced for my current budget. It's soft, durable jersey, and the leggings, at least, are worth it!

nomadreader on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 9:35am

Boring yawn and not to mention OVERPRICED!!

foreverfashion on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 10:48am

Agree with everyone here. Lauren Conrad's clothing line is like a low rent version of Rachel Pally's. Overpriced jersey items that I could probably make myself. Although, I do love Rachel Pally's material and cuts; but I would only buy it on sale. Anyway, LC does not deserve the money she's asking for this crap.

Mopsy83 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 11:07am

Boring, uninspired, and overpriced. No, no, and no.

fleurfairy on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 11:38am

i'd buy it if it were cheaper. they're throwaway dresses to wear to the beach or somewhere it might get dirty.

and unlike other commenters here, i don't have anything against the girl. she's making a living, so props to her. i'm not a diehard fan but other people obviously are fans.

ditorres on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 12:27pm

Oh wow, I know the girl on the right of lauren. This is really strange she's only like a sophomore in high school.

Back to the post, (sorry I got distracted), I've never bought anything from her collection and most likely never will. I am such a frugal person and while some of the dresses are cute basics, it's overall very uninspiring and something I could find at f21 for a tenth of the price.

I have nothing against the girl, but Lauren Conrad doesn't really deserve to be called a "designer"

madonna x j on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 12:53pm

No way are you kiddingg ? Her clothes are so plain & boringg

breakingheartsx3 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 1:07pm

Nope, never...don't plan on it either.

emalove on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 1:20pm

as much as I love lauren, her line is a little blah. Its also overpriced for what it is but i would pay it if the clothes were more unique and not so basic. But if she started to make more interesting peices then maybe i would buy something

car0linee<3 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 1:44pm

I don't care if it's a celeb line, I have to like the clothes and be able to justify the expenditure. If I'm going to spend over 100 bucks on something, it'd better be something I can get lots of wear and use out of.

I neither love her pieces nor think I'd get my money's worth, so pass.

Glittersniffer on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 2:08pm

I don't think she's talented at all...she's got no imagination with her boring clothes; & I would never buy them.

tellmemorex2 on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 2:19pm

rather give rachel pally or c&c california my money.

snarkypants on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 2:24pm

What a joke. I agree 100% with kallek1116! Maybe if the price range was like $50 and under? Like everyone else has said, I'd rather buy from Forever 21 or H&M.

shannydoots on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 3:40pm

If saw something of hers that I liked and then realized it was LC, I would probably NOT buy it just on principle. Even if it were free. I've seen about 10 minutes of "The Hills" and that was enough. She gets some bogus fashion job that she doesn't deserve, and then doesn't know how to pronounce Givenchy. I could have strangled her.

spharrell on Thu, 09/18/2008 - 7:09pm

I would really like her stuff a lot more if she used more lux fabrics. I don't mind simple designs. In fact, I love them. But the difference between her collection and other very simple collections (i.e. The Row) is the lack of lux fabrics. Don't get me wrong, the silhouettes aren't as chic as The Row but the whole thing would be greatly improved with better textiles.

I just wish she would step it up a notch.

loerobot on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 12:55am

I like the simple styles, but I think everything is overpriced, so no purchases for me.

saraswords on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 8:34am

Yeah!! I got like 5 of her pieces and I'm dying for more!! Laughing out loud

star_dd on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 6:49pm

Yeah!! I got like 5 of her pieces and I'm dying for more!! Laughing out loud

star_dd on Fri, 09/19/2008 - 6:49pm

I don't know why she's even a celebrity. her show is so fake.

kizhdesigner on Sat, 09/20/2008 - 10:16am

NO.

Lua10 on Sat, 09/20/2008 - 10:28am

to be honest it hasn't crossed my mind to go to the bloomingdales on 60th to see if there's something from her collection that i would like. i kind of feel that i can't buy into the whole reality star's fashion collection - the same that i can't buy into a lot of the other ones. i hope that she's successful but it won't be from a purchase from me i don't think (although i have been known to do random things that go against my initial thoughts)

ilanac13 on Sat, 09/20/2008 - 7:31pm

She's got a lot of work to do before I even consider investing in one of her pieces.

lmf8899 on Sun, 09/21/2008 - 2:52pm

Spoiled, dramatic, famous for no reason. Besides any of this, my little brother could make her clothes. What is wrong with people who watch her show?!?!?!

Give it up, please.

FabSugar Asks:

The numbers don't lie. Lauren Conrad's namesake collection is flying off the racks before stores can replenish their stock. The starlet, who recently held a Fall presentation collection at Bloomingdale's in NYC to a slew of fans, was delighted among all of her admirers. "I love meeting the customers and seeing what they buy," said Conrad. "I've learned a lot from them."

And to Bloomingdale's vice chairman Frank Doroff's surprise, the feeling is mutual. "We got it in and sold out immediately. We can't get the merchandise on the floor fast enough. It is, by far, the best-selling celebrity line we have. It's so much better than I thought it would be," said Doroff, who also mentioned that LC's leggings were the first to sell out. In the future, Conrad plans on adding handbags and accessories to her brand. But I want to know: Have you purchased anything from her collection?
