gotta love primp! my mom bought me the turquiose ice cream sweatsuit set that jessica simpson was seen wearing...i dunno how much she paid and i don't want to know. i'd feel too bad. that anchor tank top is way cute! i'm thinking about getting it but i have a feeling this nautical trend is going to be wearing out soon.

Both options are cute. I splurged and bought the Primp pony thermal last year and I still love it. They may be "trendy" but they're so cute I can't resist. I do love the more affordable option here.

it's cute, but i looove my primp too much to buy an off brand...i don't think it would be as soft and comfy as the real thing.

On Nordstrom's website there is a short sleeved hoody with anochor's on it, I think it comes in pink and white. It's in the brass plum department and it's pretty cute too, and not expsensive! If I knew how to link stuff I would!

i love thermals and i love the whole nautical theme! both are adorable, ive been wanting a primp thermal for some time now but every time im about to buy one, i always find some other item of clothing i'd rather spend the $80 on! maybe i'll check out the Look For Less! nice post fab!

I love primp!, I've got the Anchor Thermal in white.. it's so cute!

nati on Wed, 04/18/2007 - 2:10pm

These are cute. It reminds me of that one thermal in pink that Paris Hilton wore all the time.

JKe895 on Fri, 04/20/2007 - 7:13am

This is cute - C&C California also makes a nautical tank for around $30 I think.

balenciagababe on Sun, 04/22/2007 - 4:09pm

i love both of the tops, but I'll probably take the tank over the thermaljust cause of the spring weather

I know I'm like, waaaay late posting this comment (almost a year!) but I just found this page! ^_^;

I want to comment on one thing, regarding the Primp thermal vs. the Forever 21 alternative. The Primp thermal is manufactured in the U.S.. That's an increasingly rare thing to find in cute clothing. With the exception of American Apparel, and some (not all) pieces of the Juicy Couture line, almost everything is made in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. I don't know for sure, but I believe that the Forever 21 shirt is likely made using overseas labor, which makes it much easier for them to charge significantly less. I totally agree with you that Primp stuff is overpriced, regardless of where it's made, but when it comes to guilt for splurging on something frivolous, at least with Primp I know that whomever made it was paid fairly, and worked in safe conditions.

We love Primp just as much as the next girl. And nautical-inspired gear is still ashore so jump on this boat before the trend sinks. Although this Primp Anchor Thermal, $80, makes for fun fashion, paying over $30 for a thermal doesn't make complete sense. Especially since this is such a trendy item that's here today and will surely be gone tomorrow.

This Knit Anchor Tank, $9, is much more worth your money than Primp's version because it's more Spring friendly. Plus, it's really long so paired with dark skinny jeans and a pair of flats, it can look tres adorable. And, it's less than $10 so should the nautical craze be over as soon as you receive it in the mail, you won't feel so bad!
