Why is a fashion editor or director at Elle unable to walk in Heels? I wanted to slap the rich girl (boutique owner).

This show is awful! All of these people are tasteless, incompetent, and completely unqualified. I hate that this show is so fake. Stop pretending you're in the Elle office when you're clearly on a sound stage. It's a sad day when someone as influential in the fashion community such as Anne Slowey needs to degrade and mock herself just to gain recognition from a reality show... and a bad one at that.

The only good thing was seeing Kate Lanphear.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed the show, and will probably give the show a chance. It felt a little contrived in the beginning, but I'm sure it will get better. And yes the boutique owner is a complete nightmare! She must work on her first impression!

The contestants seem just as bad. "Eeew, your outfit's ugly. Mine is totally hotter. I'm so much hotter and thinner and better than you." Might be tolerable if they weren't all painfully conventional in their ideas about "style" -- and, you know, generally inept.

i think the show is boring and fake. i watch to learn more about style but these people know less than me.! i don't think i will be wasting my time

LOL That's what I hated about the show I though they Elle people where way over dressed trying too hard to make it Devil Wears Prada! And I'm not sure but doens't Anne walk funny like her feet hurt/wrong size shoe, that was weird.

Tyra B exec producer. Figures. Will watch next week to give it one more chance. I don't know about this show. I prefer Rachel Z and Tim Gunn. I miss Rachel Z already!!
I do love Kate Lanphear. She has amazing style!

Not sure if I'll like this or not, but I'll give it a shot sometime. I doubt it will even begin to compare to Project Runway though!
