nowayjose I am too! Love that she is more "dusky" LOL as opposed to Katrina Kaif white-looking! Since she has a beautiful face and Hollywood skinny body maybe we will see her more! Love her she is beautiful...

i am so, so excited to see a makeup look on a woman who is actually my color. i can't really pull off those paler than pale looks. so this is sooo great. i hope she sticks around and encourages other diverse women to step into the spotlight, so there will be even more makeup looks for us! yay!

She is lovely, she has that special something about her, she's prettier than most of the Bollywood actresses who wear a lot of makeup to enhance their looks. Freida is a natural beauty.

I think she looks really beautiful and also in an Indian way. Now of course, India is a diverse country with many looks, but I'm so tired of cake-white actresses like Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai 'representing' the Indian beauty because of India's obsession with fairness. There's so many beautiful girls there that are cast off as 'dark' and therefore ugly. Most Bollywood actresses are average looking girls who just happen to have a light skin tone.
So you go Freida!

Please know that Indians do NOt have an obsession with fairness .i think the west thinks that just because of Aishwarya Rai but thats a fairly common look and colouring .Blue/green/hazel eyes are not uncommon in certain ethnic groups particularly in the north.Aish is northern migrated down south.Katrina is half white but Priety Zinta is full Indian .I think Indians do get annoyed when the west thinks contact lenses or skin lightener.Really there are darkish actresses like Frieda Pinto,Rani,Kajol,Rekka. So saying Frieda is also a typical looking girl from the south and we do appreciate your liking her and thank you all.Ujjwala Raut is a model and has posed for Elle etc and she is of the same colouring.But thank you for those really nice comments on Frieda.

poppii: where do you get your information?? Aishwarya Rai is NOT a north Indian migrated to the south; she's out and out South Indian. And I hardly think her skin tone and light eyes are commonplace in India!

And to say that there's no fairness obsession in India is PURE DENIAL.
