She has become a style icon lately

Yay!!! I love them both.

I don't know, I'm getting sick of Anne's new "style icon" status the past year or so. She doesn't really fit my idea of Marc Jacobs either...

i think that i would lose interest in the brand if anne were the muse. i don't know - i don't find her to be all that fashion forward and i don't really care for her much these days. i'm sure that marc could do a LOT better.

agree, don't think she's fashionable

I absolutely love Anne as an actress, but I don't think she's enough of a fashion risk-taker to be Marc's muse...her style is more classic/feminine to me.

She would be the perfect muse for Valentino...

Cute!

It has been over a year since Victoria was Marc's 'official' muse ie. modelled for his ad campaign. Many models and a few celeb models have already preceded Anne Hathaway's alleged campaign and come after Posh's campaign. Stop taking the word from the British tabloids as gospel, when they are simply stirring a non-story using Victoria's name. And only last month Victoria and Marc Jacobs were interviewed together in Bergdorff's magazine, so they are still good friends.

for some reason she doesn't do it for me.

"She would be the perfect muse for Valentino... " Absolutely! She has a classic, feminine style.

I love her and Marc and I think it would be a great fit (to those who say she is not a risk-taker; have you seen "Brokeback Mountain" or "Rachel Getting Married?"). my only problem is why doesn't anybody use models anymore? I don't know about anybody else, but I don't buy products because I like or trust the spokesman. I really think they should leave the modeling to the models...

Whether or not Anna Hathaway will be Marc Jacobs’ new muse is somewhat irrelevant. Just the power of them being associated has such a huge effect for both Anne and Marc. Victoria Beckham being associated with Marc Jacobs was huge for both of them. Personally I think this is one huge publicity stunt..making me look forward to reading this book I’ve been hearing about that’s coming out this week called ‘The Power of Small,’ because it’s really the small things that can have the biggest impact…especially when it comes to marketing tactics.

FabSugar Says:

UPDATE: A representative for Marc Jacobs has shot down the rumors about Anne and Marc stating, “I’m afraid that is not true. Marc and Annie are good friends, but there are no plans of her appearing in our ads."

Now that Victoria Beckham is busy with her own line, Marc Jacobs has to find new muse and word has it Anne Hathaway might be that lucky lady. "Marc and Anne have forged a fast but very intense friendship," said a source. "They're going to start doing public appearances together soon. If it works well, Anne would be happy to model for some of Marc’s campaigns." Anne is known for taking fabulous fashion risks so it would be amazing to see her as Marc's model muse. Can it be?
