Color Me Inspired: I Love You, Man's Sunshiney Bride and Bridesmaids No celebrity endorsement implied.

This Spring, in the comedy I Love You, Man, we witnessed one of the happiest, liveliest colors a bridesmaid can wear. The maids in the movie wore Nanette Lepore's "Still Free" shift dresses, FYI. Appropriate for a garden, beach, or even indoor wedding (if the reception or party is outdoors), your bridesmaids will thank you. How can one stress on the big day when she's surrounded by chipper yellow best buds? I'm also an advocate of non-bridesmaids bridesmaid dresses for the supporting cast — sourcing a mid-range designer for wear-again cocktail dresses is the way to go. It's thoroughly modern and, again, your bridesmaids will be thankful. What do you think — are you as smitten with this sunshiney bride and her bridesmaids as I am?

I love this look- but I think that yellow also can be a very hard color to wear for some people, and your bridesmaids might hate you for making them wear it Eye-wink

I was thinking the same thing! The hardest color to wear is not always the best choice for bridesmaids.

the bride, no...i find rashida jones (as per usual) looked like a mess through the entire movie but the bridesmaids yes, adorable dresses for an outdoor wedding

Love Yellow! The bridesmaid dress looks fab! You can go with a few different shades of yellow for bridesmaid dresses. Doing that everyone will be happy and their is something for everyone!

My friend had us wear long yellow bridesmaid dresses that we helped pick out. We got so many compliments. A great idea for any brides looking for dresses.

What a coincidence, I just watched this movie this past Sunday! And yes, I agree, I think the dresses were adorable. While yellow can be hard for some to wear, I think you can play around with the shade and brightness to find a yellow tone that will work for everyone. It is a very happy color.

I love yellow, it's one of my favorites! And I know it can be hard for some people to wear, but I think there's a shade for everyone!

I loved the look of the whole wedding. So summery and lovely. thats the kind of wedding I want, outdoors, small, and a simple wedding dress and flowers.

I love yellow and would love to wear it, but I'm not sure everyone would be so happy about it. I think a classic or slightly dark red is the best color - everyone likes it and it flatters all skin tones...
