Oooh, I deliberately went with the answers that I thought were wrong but treated them as trick questions. Oh dear. Now I'm off to enjoy my three whole-wheat pancakes.
Even if the yogurt+granola+fruit has more calories, the omelet could be loaded with saturated fat and cholesterol. Fewer calories does not always mean healthier.
These are kind of subjective. The granola that I eat is not over 200 calories for a serving, so I think it would end up less calories than an omelette. Btw, I thought eggs were about 75 cals each? Which would make a 3 egg omelette 225 calories before you add the cheese.
I hate eggs. But I know they have a lot of cholesterol and fat, so the comparison with the yogurt and granola isn't really fair. At least the yogurt concoction has more complex carbs and will probably keep you full longer than the cheese omlette.
Also, how many eggs are we using, and are we just using egg whites? You can cut a lot of calories and cholesterol just by cutting the yolk!

Exactly! If my daddy was looking at those two as options, I'd encourage him to get the yogurt. Fewer calories absolutely does not mean healthier.
And Fit, it'd take about 3/4 of a cup for me to have 220 calories of (full fat, completely delicious) granola in my yogurt. I just ran to the kitchen to double check that. Once I had 3/4 of a cup of granola and a quarter cup of blueberries, I'd have more fillings than yogurt, and who actually eats like that?
That's the problems with the first question, Fit. Implying that a cheesy omlette is healthier than low fat yogurt with granola and fruit is ridiculous.
I would probably still go for the omelet and not the yogurt because it would have more filling protein than the yogurt mix (plus much much less sugar). Personally I just tend to find it more satisfying.
Then again I could never eat a whole 3 egg omelet, just too much food I think.
My only issue with the omelet is where the heck do you find a place that only gives you 1oz of cheese in there (usually have big old gobs of it). Same with yogurt. Most brunch places don't give you natural healthy granola with your yogurt and berries, they give you the really sugar-packed stuff.
When the weekend comes, my family loves to get together and make all the tasty brunch items we don't have time for during the week. In case you were wondering how they compare calorie-wise, take this fun little quiz.
