Trend Alert: Jammin' Jellies
Trend Alert: Jammin' Jellies No celebrity endorsement implied.

Some of you might flinch at the thought of wearing jellies again but hear me out. Jammin' jellies have been revisited, revised, and reconstructed to satisfy your Summer whimsy. New styles exhibit comfy cuts, hence no more blisters, and a rainbow of colors. I'm undeniably infatuated with this Pink Givenchy Lace Up Jelly ($170). The cutouts are not only sleek, they'll also make beach frolicking a breeze. Costa Rica, here I come!

Can't do it.

My mom refused to let me wear them, despite my pleas as a kid. I thank her for that now.

Yea, I was shocked when I saw Tory Burch came out with jelly flats!

demure20 on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 12:08pm

I don't think I could pay more than $10 or $20 for plastic shoes. shrug

Whiplash on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 12:12pm

I hate these with a passion.

aimeeb on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 12:19pm

Some of those are just ridiculously priced! Shocked

miss malone on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 12:49pm

The Givenchy ones are cool, but I don't really know about this style...

tellmemorex2 on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 5:00pm

I feel like there was a similar post on this last year... I have a pair from Old Navy that were about $7. Perfect errands shoes. More than $7 would feel like a rip for plastic, though.

poissondujour on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 5:36pm

Kate Bosworth wore those Chloe ones recently. I love them and the Givenchy pair!

LolaSvelt on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 1:23am

aaargh I never want to relive the sweaty, sticky feet these kind of shoes used to give me as a naive third-grader. Keep these in the past!

leahtron on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 6:06am

I have jelly gladiators and love them! Smiling

hil34 on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 6:21am

Nope.

I grew up wearing them in the 80s, then they came back briefly in the mid-90s when I was in high school...that is enough for me.

emalove on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 7:07am

Def. a nay! Something just ain't right about wearing jellies on your feet in the heat of summer. No, thanks - I find them ugly to boot.

Talldiva45 on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 7:25am

Used to love them. When I was 4 years old.. 0-o

simplystella on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 10:57am

I still flinch and will always flinch at the sight of someone sporting these "jellies"... just doesn't work for me!

sealver on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 12:45pm

nooo thanks. haha and i did flinch at the word "jellies"

amandaaa on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 12:49pm

This is simply ugly.

openfan on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 4:59pm

I love the Givenchy, Chloe, and Ralph Lauren. I'm a little too young to have any old school jelly memories.

lightpollution on Sun, 05/03/2009 - 4:35pm

Why not? The shoes are cute. I would not wear ugly shoes, but these shoes are so cute.
I like the Madeline Women's Yummi Jelly and H-Jellyb Black Paris.
But I agree with miss malone: "Some of those are just ridiculously priced!", it is beautiful, but.. it is PLASTIC.

Suspiria on Mon, 05/04/2009 - 10:36am
