Five if I'm having a breakout (I assume sunscreen doesn't count either).
Every morning I use a gentle daily exfoliator, cleanser, toner and moisturizer. If I'm breaking out I add in some blackhead removing scrub.

    Autumns_Elegy on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 5:46am

toner, cleansing oil, night cream, day cream with no SPF for staying home, day cream with SPF for going out, eye cream, sometimes I put additional SPF on (city block), anti-blemish gel, facewash sometimes... that's a lot Smiling

    Allytta on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 7:21am

plus exfoliators and masks after a bath Laughing out loud

    Allytta on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 7:22am

Every morning I use Cetaphil cleanser and I put on Aveeno Daily Moisturizer in SPF 30. I'll use a Boscia anti-blemish pen if I'm having a breakout. At night I wash my face again with Cetaphil and then put on Regenerist Night. Four products. And I have amazing skin, sometimes less is more!

I use six Bioethique products: cleansing milk (which has a mild toner in it) every am &pm, regenerating scrub (three times a week), eye cream every morning and night, day and night cream, antioxidant serum at night.

    bellafranki on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 11:02am

I use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and an eye cream daily. Once or twice a week I use an exfoliator, and if I have a breakout I use a spot treatment.

    juliarose23 on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 11:13am

This is scary when I add them all up, never realized how many different products I use daily.

    mek123 on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 11:39am

I guess I'm high maintenance since my skin is sensitive and oily

    Morning:
    1) cetaphil
    2) moisturizer
    3) sunscreen... I like it separate from my moisturizer because its cheaper in my opinion so i could the same moisturizer at night/no reason for spf at night
    Evening
    4) neutrogena acne face wash sensitive
    - same moisturizer I use in the morning
    6) mask... sometimes
    7) clarisonic... sometimes
    Cool epiduo when breakouts happen

I use a Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% for washing and some ROC wrinkle cream in the am & bedtime. That's it. I drink TONS of water during the day and that seems to help my skin alot.

    lindac on Sun, 10/18/2009 - 12:37pm

    Daily I use:
    Morning:
    1. Philosophy Microdelivery Face Wash
    2. Aveeno Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15
    Night:
    3. Philosophy Purity
    4. Philosophy Hope in a Jar
    5. Eye cream

So I put 5 - 7 is too much for me.
However, I use a retinoid cream several times a week, and I use a vitamin C mask about once a week (followed by a different night cream).

I find it relaxing to take care of my skin right before bed. It calms me down and prepares me for sleep.

    Yogaforlife on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 6:34am

Wow comparatively, I am low maintenance. I use Garnier cleansing gel while in the shower and them a daily moisturizer so my face doesn't dry out.
In the evenings, I just use water to rinse my face.

    Zivanod on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 8:09am

I use a Kinerase set that has 1 wash to use in the am and pm and then 2 different mouisterizers for night and day.
Their daytime mouisterizer has an SPF 50 and I spent a day on a boat and didn't get any sun it works really well!
Then I have a weekly orange peel mask that I do.
So its very simple and works well.

    care0531 on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 8:55am

night: face wash, and moisturizer and spot treat blemishes
morning: rinse with water and moisturize

I wish i could be even more low maintenance, but I've been having lots of skin sensitivity to many products probably due to abusing myself with loads of different products in college.

    ren_kr on Mon, 10/19/2009 - 10:27am

I have recently changed my face products to five natural face products.

    Morning
    1. Black soap
    2. Vitamin E Oil for Moisture

    Evening
    1. Skin Essence Skin Cleanser
    2. Vitamin E

Natural Clay Mask Twice a week

    Anonymous on Thu, 10/22/2009 - 2:25pm

depends on what is going on with my skin that day
acne free face washes-1 w salicylic acid, another w benzoyl peroxide
    b peroxide gel 2x a day
peter thomas roth sulfur mask about every other day
    eye cream daily
    face cream daily
a salicylic/lactic chemical peel about every week
a benzoyl mask/wash for spot treatment

i've tried to do less, but if i don't keep on top of it my skin breaks out terribly.

    oni1 on Fri, 10/23/2009 - 12:42pm

Neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser followed by oil of olay beauty fluid. That's it.

    OHmeetsBK on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 8:07am

I'm so jealous of all of you who can wash and go. Like oni1, I've tried cutting back, but I'm happy to finally find a regimen that keeps my skin clear. In the morning, it's just wash with PanOxyl and apply Neutrogena moisturizer. In the evenings, there's olive oil cleanser, exfoliant or a glycolic scrub 3x a week, eye cream, retin-A, and an additional moisturizer in the winter (or when my skin feels tight).

Whew. It's a lot, but it doesn't really take much time, since I've gotten so used to it!

    EllaB on Fri, 10/30/2009 - 10:24am

Wow, I didn't realized I used so much (7 products!). The separate eye and face items really adds up.

    BeamerCG on Mon, 11/02/2009 - 11:16am

I don't was my face in the morning. I find it unesessary. I do splash my face with some water sometimes, if I am slightly oily.
My nighttime regime is more rigourous. I my face with lush's 'dark angels' which also counts as an exfoliator. Then, I apply my lush tea tree oil 'grease lightening' gel, and my body shop tea tree moisturizer. I love the last option, it makes my skin really clear and soft Smiling

My skincare routine has gotten increasingly complicated over the last few weeks. I've added a couple of things that I really want to try, but now I'm using seven products every night before bed. For the sake of my sanity, and my skin, things can't go on this way. I've got to make a few painful cuts before things get totally out of control. What about you? How many products do you all use to care for your skin (makeup does not count. Otherwise I'd be waaaay up in the double digits)? And how many is just way too many?
