I actually prefer the cheaper one, but you have to not have any hips at all to wear leather...

The cheaper version doesn't look like it fits very well.

I wish the second one was slightly longer, but it's still okay. It's hard to tell though since it doesn't really fit the model.

The picture doesn't really do justice to the dress, does it? Doesn't really look like the dress fits the model.. may be just me, tho.

As of late, I've taken a strong liking to the combination of leather and wool, or leather and knit. I think Molly Sims's Elizabeth and James skirt sparked it. Leather on its own can be intense, but the addition of another fabric softens it up. If I could, I'd get this Helmut Lang Leather and Wool Dress ($875). It's modern and futuristic at the same time, but it's way too pricey for me.

Urban Renewal has come out with this Leather and Knit Bodycon Dress ($68) that has the same motif as the Helmut Lang version. Yes, the silhouette is a tad different, but you get the gist. I especially dig the sweetheart neckline because it makes the dress appear more womanly. Now I can get my leather/knit fill without spending a ton.
