I like it cause it makes me smile. It looks like a feather duster or something.

girlie871 on Mon, 09/14/2009 - 11:24pm

This reminds me of one of those dip-dyed fur coats

lanlajolie on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 12:10am

I think she can pull it off.

The combination of the black eyeliner, black hair tips, and black-patterned dress is wonderful -- I love it.

mollyparnis on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 4:33am

ick! i hate it!!!! looks like she dipped her hair in ink Sad

berri716 on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 4:53am

You've gotta love free spirited Drew!

romaniagrl on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 5:14am

Not something most people could ever wear, but Drew totally pulls it off! It fits her.

dakmo on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 5:36am

I'm undecided. But when I was a kid and the lead singer from Berlin (Take My Breath Away) had her blonde hair tipped black I thought it was cool.

Baby Girl on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 5:46am

It's eyecatching at the very least Smiling I like the concept of the ends dipped in a darker hue, but I think the two shades are so extreme from the other that it looks more punky. I would like it more if one shade was extreme and the other one was a bit softer.

UrbanBohemian on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 6:33am

I liked that it's different, but it kind of looks like it's fried.

J Rabbit on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 7:28am

What's her deal now? Is she just going to do "fun" things and not try to look good anymore?

sham28 on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 8:08am

I like the idea of it and why she said she did it, I just don't like the color combination. But...I'll say I like it it more than not because she isn't boring.

Nadia24gv on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 8:11am

You know I almost think it might have looked better if the hair had been streaked black instead of tipped black.

Florida Snow on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 8:32am

I think if the line from blonde to black wasn't so defined it would look great. It should be more jagged.

DestinyA on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 10:30am

I don't necessarily like the dipped hair buuut...she does pull it off with this particular look - I think her makeup (which I love!), dress and hair work together

brandysbug on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 10:44am

Blondie pulled this look off in the 70's/80's but she was Blondie. I don't know about this on Drew.

TammyO on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 11:13am

She totally looks like Teri Nunn from Berlin! Check out the video for No More Words on YouTube.

I like it. Sally Draper is so going to look like this when she grows ups

leslievanhouten on Tue, 09/15/2009 - 11:15am

I love Drew, but I think she's getting a little old to try to pull this kind of look off.

holbrooke7 on Wed, 09/16/2009 - 8:35am

I love it. Its a technique called "minking" like mink fur...most times the ends on the bangs are also minked but I like how it lightens her face without it. When or if she gets bored with it she can simply have the ends trimmed off making her hair even healthier looking. bravo for stepping out of the "box"

Last week, we caught a glimpse of Drew Barrymore sporting this black-tipped bob while promoting her film, Whip It, in Boston. At first I wasn't sure if the dipped-in-black look was a permanent fixture in the actress's ever-changing look, but judging from her appearance earlier today at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival, it looks like these deep, dark raven-toned ends are here to stay. And in rather matchy-matchy fashion, she even chose to wear this black and yellow Alexander McQueen dress, which coordinates to perfection. What do you think of Drew's ebony ends? Are they a slam-dunk, or is it all a bit too murky for your liking?
