It is starting to seem like almost everyone is going to be a vampire this year. I am working at party city and it seems like every other person is buying a vampire costume.

I'm curious to see if people will go as traditional vamps, Twilight vamps, True Blood vamps, or what.

BellaSugar on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 10:05am

Bella, probably all of them !
I'm going as the Morton's Salt Girl Smiling

Runningesq, that's SUCH a fun costume idea. I wanted to do it one year but I didn't have a party to attend. Post pics!

Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?

great idea...and call be a grammar freak but I think it's "sadistic vampire" not masochistic, since she enjoys inflicting pain on others.

Teagan on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 6:57pm

ahhh bella, i think it's funny you referred to dakota as pulling off the sexy-scary thing because i still see her as sean penn's little girl in i am sam and associating her with anything remotely close to 'sexy' kind of weirds me out

nylorac on Thu, 10/15/2009 - 8:39pm

Haha, I'm dressing up as a vampire as well and I'm trying to get my sister into a werewolf costume but she's not very willing.. Halloween isn't even an official holiday here but we always organise a little party together.. cook together, get dressed up, decorate the place and watch horror movies. But I guess it isn't really surprising this year's Halloween theme is vampires.. it seems the whole world is obsessed with them lately.

Ohhh I want the red contacts, I think that's all I would do. Put them on and go freak some people out. Laughing out loud

angiegoboom on Tue, 10/20/2009 - 8:25pm

She looks pretty convincing here; colored contacts are so crazy.

No fangs for Twilight vamps, as many here have said.

Whether you're a Twihard or not, you have to admit, Dakota Fanning looks pretty cool as a vampire. As Jane, a sadistic member of the Volturi vamp coven, she has the sexy-scary thing down pat. If you're considering going as a New Moon character for Halloween, she's probably the best choice. Why? Because even if you've never heard of the Bella and Edward saga, Jane looks badass. For suggestions on re-creating this look, [break]read more.[/break]

To get her look, use a medium-coverage foundation to cover any skin imperfections. Use just the slightest hint of light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks, and dot a bit of highlighter on cheekbones and in a half-moon shape around the eyes. (Blend!) Shade eyelids with a dark gray eye shadow, being careful to keep it on the lids and crease only — not up at your brow line. Then, gently brush black shadow around the outer corner of the eyes; for a neater look, start outside and move toward your eyes. Line the upper and lower lashlines with a black soft pencil black eyeliner. Go all out with false lashes, or coat your own lashes with mascara. Lips should have minimal color; consider a tinted lip balm, if anything at all. Finally, if you're going to splurge, pick up a pair of red contact lenses to show everyone you mean business. Neck-biting, pain-giving business.
