Trend Alert: Patterned Tights No celebrity endorsement implied.

I've heard friends say they're one of those things that are fun in theory, but dicey in reality. And don't plain black tights seem so . . . boring? Exhibit A: Diane Kruger at the ELLE Women in Hollywood awards. Even though her Balenciaga dress had a marbelized print, she opted for Swiss dot hose and a hot pink clutch. Sometimes more is more, and that means you shouldn't hesitate to whip out those striped, dotted, or zigzag tights you've been jonesing to wear. Patterned tights add depth, texture, and spunk to any ensemble.

Does anyone else think that dress is slightly the wrong color for her? It's just a little off.

She is so gorgeous! I think it's awesome that at 33 she can pull off patterned tights! I also love her hair!

I love wearing tights whether opaque or patterned. So much more comfy than regular hose. I love this look.

Patterned tights are so fun. The nude ones at Chanel with the ballerina lacing are so adorable, I wonder if they will turn up on celebs?

i love pattern tights...i think they will remain for quite sometime as a "classic" item in the wardrobe. Kind of like a pair of khaki pants.
