These shoes aren't meant to be walked in. They're basically a form of bondage for sexual fetish play or photography, and the woman (generally in some sort of submissive role) is meant to be immobile or carried.

alrighty then

skigurl on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 7:31am

They don't even have the support of a good ballet shoe. How awful.

smiley13tree on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 7:32am

Torture. Not to mention hideous.

kimmieb124 on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 7:46am

They may be decent if they were normal stilleto boots, but this here, the whole stilletoed ballet boot deally is just kind of dumb and your feet would be killing you after 5 minutes of walking. Ugh. watch, these are going to be the next popular type of shoe and women are going to have another painful standard of beauty to live up to. P

I think skigurl said it best: alrighty then, indeed.

Leila07 on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:21am

I would love to see someone try and walk down the street in them. Not me, mind you ... I prefer flats! Smiling

Zivanod on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:40am

just so weird

Briandiesel on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:44am

Ummm, this could do serious damage to someone's feet. Not okay.

Anonymous on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:45am

i agree with the first anonymous poster. id hope nobody bought them with the intent to wear them out; but it seems more like a bondage/sex/for show thing. just how sometimes i buy sexy underwear to take photos in or surprise the boyfriend with, but dont actually use them otherwise.

poizenisxkandee on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:56am

especially with a brand name like "pleaser" and take a look at the other shoes in their line, they all kind of scream just for play to me.

poizenisxkandee on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 8:57am

Beyonce and her dancers actually wore these shoes or something like them in the music video for "Green Light".

KrisB on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 9:35am

WHOA!!! is right. Wonders never cease.

mommie on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 9:46am

Just the sight of them makes me cringe in pain!!! No, no, no!

berri716 on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 9:49am

if i was dating a guy who had this in his fantasy, i'd dump him on the spot

snarkypants on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 9:52am

total louboutin knock-off from years ago!

blcharlt on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 10:30am

Those are sex/fetish shoes. Why is fabsugar having this ridiculous poll about them?

Snarkypants...to his or her own.

Jessiebanana on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 11:57am

yah total fetish, nobody can actually walk kin these, well i have yet to see it anyway.

PirateKitty on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 12:35pm

lol, snarky, and agreed. anything involving these shoes is probably not for me.... they're just sorta hideous.

Chelle_Belle on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 1:09pm

lady gaga wore these in a photoshoot she did when she first started out when just dance became a hit

easygirltolove on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 2:25pm

They don't have the support of real ballet shoes. The reason most women can't go en pointe, like ballerinas, is that they don't have the ankle and leg strength, which takes years to build up. This is an accident waiting to happen.

NiceDriveway on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 2:43pm

Yeah, Nice one Fabsugar. Posting a serious poll on a not-for-actually-use fetish shoe? Way to confuse everyone. Next time do your research and provide proper context. Thanks.

Schoolhouse on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 3:14pm

painful fetish shoes no thanks. i can barely stand reg heels

sugajen on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 4:55pm

what the f*ck

biarose on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 2:02am

looks like the ones used in rae's first photoshoot for antm cycle 13 (the ballerina pic)

Anonymous on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 8:01am

I saw these in England 5 years ago! They are crazy over there and they're crazy over here.

tinka287 on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 12:54pm

For the runway but not everyday

Sherellj on Sun, 11/08/2009 - 12:47pm

Ouch! Those were kind of pointless to make. Who is honestly going to wear those? And who could do a walk down the runway in those too.

JessieSP on Mon, 11/09/2009 - 5:01am

I love mine. I wear them everywhere -- at work, vacuuming, driving my manual transmission car.

AbbyHintz on Mon, 11/09/2009 - 5:38pm

wow, those are just hideously ugly!

inadee on Thu, 11/12/2009 - 7:38am

Good Lord what is the world coming to.

FabSugar Says:

Whoa, this Pleaser Women's Ballet Ankle Boot ($138) should come with a serious warning. How about,"Likely to cause a broken ankle"? I've seen some crazy footwear, but this is asking for a hospital bill. I just don't see how anyone can walk in them. It's part ballet shoe, part stiletto, entirely nuts. I'm staying away, what about you?
