I don't know if I agree that she pulled it off. Yes she doesn't looked washed out, but I think it ages her espeically in consideration to how good she looks with a pale shade. Anyway, make-up is meant to be fun so good on her for trying something different.

I agree, I don't think she pulled it off either. I think in order to wear this color, your skin tone needs to be a little bit darker. Thandie Newton is the perfect example of someone who could look gorgeous in this shade.

I think it's a stu-nning color, and I think she does look like a beautiful silent film star; I just don't think she looks AS beautiful as she really is...

I don't know that she's really pulling it off in the first place. I prefer that kind of lipstick shade on people with really dark hair, or it just looks like you ate a whole tube of lipstick. Also, her lips look weirdly dry.
