We continue to be mesmerized by Rooney Mara's red-carpet choices. She always looks polished yet edgy, which sounds like an easy feat, but isn't. Side note: we've heard her stylist wants to remain anonymous, but we are dying to know who it is! But back to Rooney's look; her latest J. Mendel plum number from the Fall 2012 collection is just sexy enough thanks to the plunging neckline, but the full skirt and moody hue keep it from going into cheesy territory. Slicked-back hair, bordeaux lips, and nude t-strap sandals are just-perfect accoutrements. While this ensemble is quite fancy for everyday, we can definitely draw inspiration from its color and cut. This Three Dots draped dress ($37) is a great alternative without the risque plunge. Or, if you want something a bit more casual, why not throw on this Guess top ($35, originally $49) with a pair of gray jeans and nude sandals?
