Since confirming their relationship in August 2022, Demi Lovato and Jutes, born Jordan Lutes, have kept their punk-rock romance relatively quiet. But on Jan. 1, Lovato shared a rare glimpse at their private life in a series of Instagram photos set against a snowy backdrop. "Ended the new year like this," they captioned photos of themself and Jutes ringing in the new year during a snowboarding trip. "Wishing you all the best for 2023."
The photo set featured pictures of the couple kissing with snowflakes in their hair and posing on top of a mountain with their snowboards. Days earlier, the pair celebrated Christmas with a trip to Disneyland and a romantic kiss in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle at night. "Love u so much baby," Jutes commented on Lovato's post, adding kissing emoji.
On Jan. 1, the "Start Over" singer also posted a photo of himself and Lovato kissing at the beach on Instagram. "Helluva year. grateful for all the world class people in my life who make it worth living. love u all very much," he wrote. The following day, Lovato shared an equally heartwarming sentiment in the comments section. "I'm so beyond grateful to have met and fell in love w you this year.. I'm amazed by you everyday. I love you so much angel," she said.
"I've never smiled so much and my heart is constantly so full of love [with] you."
For Lovato's 30th birthday on Aug. 20, 2022, the couple had another sweet social media exchange when Jutes shared photos of some of their happiest memories. "Happy birthday baby," he told Lovato. "Ur a 30 year old minx and i'm the luckiest schmuck in the world cuz i get to call u mine. making u laugh has become my new obsession cuz ur smile literally cures my depression (there's a song lyric in there somewhere). i'm so proud of u for not only surviving everything you've been through but coming out on top and becoming ur healthiest happiest sweetest self. and that's all u baby… i'm just here to support u and tell stupid dad jokes when needed. ur more than ur music, more than ur voice, more than a beautiful face. ur everything. i love u."
The gallery featured snapshots of Lovato and Jutes kissing on the beach, riding a roller coaster, relaxing on a boat, and laughing as they brushed their teeth together. Lovato shared their appreciation for Jutes's heartfelt words in the comments section. "YOURE THE BEST BOYFRIEND IN THE WORLD," they wrote. "I'm just so grateful I get to call you mine because I've never laughed like this in my life, I've never smiled so much and my heart is constantly so full of love [with] you." Lovato continued, "This post, this caption… how are YOU real?! I love you honey.. so much."
